Cake with candied fruit and nuts
Ingredients:
- 8 ounces of sugar
- 9 ounces of butter
- 8.8 ounces of flour
- 7 ounces of candied fruits
- 1.7 ounces of nuts
- 4 eggs
- Half a packet of yeast
Directions:
Start by mixing the sugar and butter, and then add the eggs one by one. Once you have a smooth mixture, add the flour that has been previously mixed with the yeast.
Then, proceed to add the candied fruits (chopped in small pieces), as well as the nuts. Grease and flour a pan so that it doesn’t stick and pour the mix in it.
In order to decorate your cake, you may add some whole candied fruits, making sure that they don’t sink to the bottom of the cake.
Finally, put the pan in an oven at 356 degrees, for one hour. Then, remove it and let it cool.
In order to keep the candied fruits from sinking to the bottom of your cake, you may mix them with some flour, prior to adding them to the mix. This is one of the easiest recipes with nuts and seeds.
Rice pudding with nuts and seeds
Ingredients:
- 7 ounces of rice
- 5 ounces of sugar
- 1.5 pints of milk
- 5 fluid ounces of heavy cream
- 3.5 ounces of nuts (your own choice)
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- The zest of a lemon
- 2 tablespoons of condensed milk
- 2 egg yolks
- Mint leaves to decorate
Directions:
Start by mixing the heavy cream and milk, and set to boil in a pot. When it starts to boil, add the lemon zest, sugar, cinnamon, and the rice; lower the heat so that it cooks slowly for one hour.
During this time, constantly stir to avoid the rice sticking to the pot and as it cooks, whisk the egg yolks and mix them with the condensed milk.
Once the rice is cooked, add the egg yolks and condensed milk to it. Stir well and then store in the fridge.
When the rice pudding is cold, serve it in bowls and add the nuts and seeds of your choosing. Then, use the mint leaves to decorate it.
If you constantly stir the rice, this will be one of the creamiest recipes with nuts you’ll ever taste!
