What does a TBC session consist of?
To understand what a TBC session is all about, we have to remind you what the acronym means: Total Body Conditioning.
This physical activity is perfect for toning and burning fat in less time than other workout programs that are known today. It involves a workout system that combines various exercises in order to work the entire body completely.
Unlike other aerobic disciplines, a TBC session is very dynamic, entertaining, and even fun!
Total Body Conditioning is “2 in 1” because it combines aerobic exercise with weight lifting. At the same time, it includes music that motivates you to continue the workout and fulfill the trainer’s instructions.
TBC usually involves no additional materials or equipment, although for specific exercises you might use steps, bars, or elastic bands. This means that you can do a TBC session in your own home or wherever you choose.
Additionally, you should keep in mind that a TBC session only lasts 30 minutes. Therefore, it’s perfect for continuing with your daily activities without neglecting physical exercise.
TBC sessions are group classes and the idea is that in half an hour, you’re optimizing your time as much as possible and working all of your muscle groups. There are always abdominal exercises, which range in type and difficulty level.
What are the benefits of a TBC session?
As it’s an aerobic workout, TBC offers many advantages. Among the main benefits of Total Body Conditioning, these really stand out:
1. TBC increases cardiovascular endurance
If you want a stronger and healthier heart with more endurance, exercise is fundamental. In addition, we could point out that TBC has other advantages for circulatory and respiratory levels. For example, it stabilizes blood pressure and increases the flow of oxygen to the lungs.
2. TBC helps you lose weight
This is one of the reasons people choose TBC instead of other disciplines. Unlike the rest, you can slim down much faster because the classes are short and very effective. However, in order to reach your goals, it’s fundamental to maintain a balanced diet.

3. TBC improves coordination and balance
A lot of times, we forget how important this is. However, this won’t only be useful for completing the exercises during a TBC session. Additionally, it will help you in your daily life. Having better coordination and balance will, among many other benefits, help reduce muscle pain by preventing abrupt movements.
4. TBC combats stress
Lately, a lot of people have been talking about the benefits of exercise on anxious, stressed out, depressed, and nervous people. For that reason, a TBC session can be very helpful when you’ve had a stressful day at work or when your personal problems are getting you down.
The stress relieving effects of exercise are thanks to the release of a neurotransmitter called dopamine, which is related to good moods. In addition to being tired, you’ll also finish the class feeling happy and as though you have “released tension“ and eliminated your anger.
We can also name another advantage of TBC that goes hand in hand with releasing stress: eliminating insomnia. If you have trouble sleeping at night, we recommend that you do this exercise before 6 pm.
If you do it any later, it will have the opposite effect and your body will stay awake and alert into the early hours of the morning.
5. TBC allows you to socialize
We often aren’t aware of the secondary benefits of doing exercise. For example, the simple fact that you’re working out with other people isn’t the same as doing it at home. Emotionally and mentally speaking, it’s a different experience.
Although you can definitely enjoy a TBC session at home, we recommend that you go to a gym and follow the instructions of a trainer or instructor. Why? You’ll be with other people who have similar goals and you’ll feel more motivated to continue.
Additionally, as the exercises keep changing session to session, you will never become bored of TBC. Every day is completely different from the last. Best of all, in just a few weeks, you’ll start seeing the first results of your efforts!
