How to Burn Fat by Doing Abdominal Exercises
Abdominal exercises increase endurance and power. However, they tend to do little to reduce the fat covering them. To lose belly fat, it’s more common to do a full-body cardio workout that allows you to burn more calories. In spite of this, we can burn fat by doing abdominal exercises and combining them with other exercises.
Certainly, when you burn more calories than you consume, your body converts triglycerides into usable energy to be burned as fuel. Just as you can’t decide where fat accumulates, you can’t determine where your body moves this fat.
This depends on genetics, although the truth is when you burn enough calories and don’t replace them, you’ll eventually lose belly fat.
You should also take into consideration that although abdominal exercises help to build muscle, they don’t burn a lot of calories. It’s almost impossible to lose weight or belly fat just by doing abdominal exercises.
But you can do it if you perform the right workouts. However, to lose most of your excess fat, you must do cardio such as jogging or walking, as well as total body strength workouts.
Is it possible to burn fat by doing abdominal exercises?
Although these movements can make you feel a burning sensation as they build your abdominal muscles, they won’t completely remove the fat covering them.
After a complete weight loss program focused on making healthy food choices, reducing calorie intake, and getting more overall movement, this will allow you to apply the best method to eliminate accumulated stomach fat.
Certainly, you may have the feeling that abdominal exercises are melting your belly fat, but even though you’re activating your muscles, it hardly affects the level of fat you lose. Keep in mind that you burn fat when your body doesn’t get enough calories to fuel activity and basic body functions.
Unfortunately, you can’t choose the areas from which your body mobilizes fat reserves. In fact, the fat burning pattern is due to genetics and hormones. Although abdominal exercises can make you feel fatigued, they don’t use much excess energy, so they don’t mobilize fat reserves.
The best abdominal exercises to burn fat
Here’s a list of the best fat burning abdominal exercises- take notes and include them in your workout routine!
1.-Planks on the stability ball
Kneel in front of a stability ball, covering your stomach and placing your hips on the ball. Place your hands on the ground in front of you until the ball rolls under your thighs.
Once your body is stable, with a slight arch in your back, hold for 30 seconds. Concentrate on lifting your belly button and squeezing your thighs.
2.-Planks
Get on all fours on a mat with your hands under your shoulders. Stretch your legs back one at a time to reach the plank position involving your abdominal muscles. Form a straight line with your body. Don’t move your hips or lift your buttocks too high.
Press your hands firmly on the floor, and force back through your heels. Hold for 1-2 minutes (or as long as you can), get yourself back on all fours. Do 3 repetitions.
3.-Basic pump
Stand with one leg forward with the hoop around your waist, holding it against your lower back. Bend your knees slightly, then rotate the hoop giving a big push in one direction.
Shift your weight between your legs, moving forward and backward to move your hips, pushing and pulling to keep the hoop spinning.
4.-Oblique with the stability ball
In order to do this exercise, lie on your back on a stability ball with your feet apart at hip level and your knees bent at a 90-degree angle. Place your right hand behind your head and feet on the floor to maintain balance. Next, lift your left foot off the ground, extend your left leg and keep the other flexed.
Rotate the right shoulder and rib cage toward the left knee while simultaneously stretching the right leg. Return to the starting position with the left leg raised and the right bent. That’s a repeat.
Finally, don’t forget that it’s possible to burn fat by doing abdominal exercises, although a balanced diet and doing cardio exercises will always be necessary. The combination of healthy habits and exercise will allow you to reduce those extra pounds that accumulate on your stomach.
