Ice Cream Recipes for Summertime
When summertime comes around, so do the cravings for cold treats. Ice cream is a favorite ally, especially because hydration is important this time of year.
Most ice cream is loaded with sugar, food coloring, and other unhealthy ingredients. Here are some quick and sugar-free ice cream recipes that only require a few ingredients.
Types of ice cream

Ice Cream
To make ice cream healthy, you can use bananas as a base. The first thing to keep in mind is that the riper the banana is, the sweeter the result will be. This way, you can take advantage of your bananas that are about to go bad and get much more sweetness out of them than from the green ones.

- Peel and cut the sliced bananas and freeze them in small bags.

- Regular or plant-based milk.
This recipe involves just one step: blend everything keeping in mind that you need to add 1/4 cup of milk per every banana used.
5. Mango Ice Cream
Ingredients:
- 1 mango.
- Half a banana.
- Dates—less is best.
- 1 tablespoon of cream cheese.
- A splash of milk.
The only step required to prepare this treat is to blend all the ingredients together and serve immediately or freeze for at least four hours.
6. Strawberry Banana Ice Cream
Ingredients:
- 6 strawberries.
- 1 banana.
- Half cup of plain yogurt.

7. Creamy Strawberry Banana Cream
Ingredients:
- 2 cups of strawberries.
- 1 banana.
- Half a cup of milk.
- 2 cups of freshly whipped cheese.
First, beat the cheese and milk until it’s blended together. Then, add the frozen fruit and keep blending until you attain the desired consistency. Serve immediately or freeze.
8. Blueberry Ice Cream
Ingredients:
- Half cup of plain yogurt.
- 1 banana.
- 3 tablespoons of blueberries.
- Nut butter of choice.

9. Red Berry Frozen Treat
Ingredients:
- 1 banana.
- Frozen mixed berries.
- 2 egg whites beaten to stiff peaks.
First, beat the egg whites till they reach stiff peaks. Next, add the red berries and blend everything together. This treat has to be consumed immediately since it cannot be frozen.
