In 2019, the tournament scenario will be Poland. So, what should we know about it?

Promising soccer players in Poland 2019

This official FIFA competition includes young people born on January 1, 1999, onwards. Twenty-four teams from five continents will participate; the matches, meanwhile, will take place in six different venues.

Beyond the organizational details, the most important thing for the fans to know is which candidate players stand out in this tournament. Because we want you to know who to pay attention to, we’ll list some of them here.

1. Timothy Weah (United States): Promising soccer players

He’s the son of ex-football player, George Weah, famous for playing for AC Milan and for being president of Liberia, his native country. Timothy has followed in his father’s footsteps, and what a great job!

This American forward, who currently plays for Paris Saint Germain, also plays temporarily for Celtic Scotland. Although his career is just beginning, his talent places him as one of the names worthy to follow.

2. Promising soccer players: Ezequiel Barco (Argentina)

Barco plays as an offensive midfielder for Atlanta United of the US MLS. Despite emigrating at a young age, which may make him seem more experienced than he really is, he’s a very interesting player.

The Argentine team has its own imbalanced illusions of what Barco can bring to the team. He’s already shown that he has plenty of unpredictability: he took charge of the penalty shot given to him by Independiente, his first club, an international title at the Maracana stadium.

3. Dan-Axel Zagadou, among the most promising French soccer players

Of course, we couldn’t exclude France, the last world champion. Zagadou, defender of Borussia Dortmund from the quarry of PSG, looks like one of the most interesting players to watch in Poland. His physique is imposing: he measures 1.98 meters; despite this, he has a remarkable technique.

4. Diego Lainez (Mexico)

In recent years, Mexico has been recognized for showing great work in its smaller divisions. Diego Lainez, an offensive forward of the “Tri,” appears as one of the most promising soccer players this year.

Similar to the aforementioned Barco, Lainez is very unpredictable thanks to his technique; the difference is that he’s left-handed. He currently plays for Real Betis, in Spain.

5. Promising soccer players: Diogo Dalot (Portugal)

Dalot is another promising soccer player. This Portuguese defender has had a lot of game time during his last season at Manchester United; the English club paid 22 million euros for him to play.

6. Moisés Ramírez, a promising goalkeeper (Ecuador)

And what about the goalkeepers in this U20 World Cup? One of the most prominent is Ramírez, a goalkeeper for the Ecuadorian national team. He accumulated 298 minutes without receiving any goals from the other team during the South American qualifying tournament.

7. Juan Camilo Hernández (Colombia)

Colombia is another team that’s been stepping up in this youthful tournament. Hernandez is a forward of a new breed of talent that promises to contribute a lot to the performance of the “coffee” team in Poland. He currently plays for Huesca and has scored four goals in the previous season.

Beyond those cited, we could add a few more names to the list: Nehuén Pérez (defender, Argentina), Leonardo Campana (forward, Ecuador), Moussa Diaby (midfielder, France), Lee Kang-In (midfielder, South Korea), and Nicolás Sachapasse (forward, Uruguay), which are just a few!

The reality is that, to the delight of the most popular sports fans, the Under 20 World Championship in Poland will be an unmissable event!
