Additionally, it’s a different way of eating the foods that we usually consume another way.

Lukewarm zucchini salad

Who says salads have to be cold? The following recipe is for a lukewarm zucchini salad. It combines the typical cold ingredients of a salad, with grilled zucchini. If you are still not motivated to try a lukewarm salad, we encourage you to do so. It’s one of the best salad recipes and we know that you’ll love it and want to make this again and again.

Ingredients (serves two):

  • 1 zucchini
  • Lamb’s lettuce
  • 1 tomato
  • 2 carrots
  • Half of a lime
  • Salt
  • Oregano
  • Olive oil

Directions:

  1. Wash and cut the zucchini into thin slices. Sprinkle oregano and a little salt all over the slices.
  2. Next, heat a skillet or frying pan and add a few drops of olive oil. When it’s hot, place the zucchini slices in the pan or skillet.
  3. While the zucchini is cooking, wash the lamb’s lettuce and put them in a bowl as the salad base. Wash and cut the tomato and carrots then add them to the bowl. The carrots can be cooked or raw, depending on your personal preferences.
  4. Once the zucchini slices are cooked, add them to the salad.
  5. Lastly, season the salad in a healthy way by sprinkling a little salt and adding lime juice.

Lentil salad

Lentils provide vitamins and iron, among other nutrients. Typically, lentils are consumed during cold months because they are usually included as an ingredient in a hot dish. Next, we will suggest a lentil salad recipe so that you can benefit from this superfood during any month of the year.

This dish is perfect as a single course meal. Additionally, it can be perfectly preserved in the refrigerator and you can also take it to work in a plastic container.

Ingredients (serves two):

  • 10.5 ounces of lentils
  • 1 can of sweet corn
  • A dozen cherry tomatoes
  • 1 can of tuna
  • Bean sprouts
  • Olive oil
  • Salt
  • Vinegar

Directions:

  1. Start by straining the lentils. For this type of salad, the canned lentils are perfect as they are very tender and will save you a lot of time. Add the lentils to a bowl.
  2. Empty the can of sweet corn carefully and without pouring any liquid in the bowl.
  3. Break up the tuna and add it to the salad. If it is in oil you can set this aside to use as salad dressing.
  4. Wash the cherry tomatoes and cut them into halves. Now, add the bean sprouts.
  5. All that’s left now, is to add salad dressing. You can use some of the oil from the canned tuna or, as we mentioned earlier, some olive oil with vinegar and salt.

Salad with figs and Serrano ham

This salad is a total delicacy. It combines the sweet flavor of figs with the salty flavor of Serrano ham. This is a combination you’ll love and you can also prepare it as an appetizer or skewer. However, this salad is only intended for occasional consumption, as its ingredients, along with cheese, make for a pretty caloric dish.

Ingredients (serves two):

  1. This salad deserves a special introduction, so be very careful with the placement of the ingredients.
  2. Start by washing the lettuce and cutting it into small pieces. Place it in a salad bowl, in a circle around the edge of the bowl, as if it were enclosing the salad.
  3. Next, wash the figs, peel them and cut them into slices. Lay them next to the lettuce.
  4. Roll up the slices of Serrano ham and place them in the center of the bowl in the form of a flower. Cut the Camembert cheese into cubes. You could also use fresh cheese or another, lower calorie option.
  5. Lastly, dress the salad with a little raspberry vinaigrette.
