With these foods, which are acceptable in the Paleo diet, you'll provide many benefits to your body by eating in a natural and healthy way. It's all about consuming the products just as nature provides them to us.

In the prehistoric era, humans would obtain food by hunting, fishing, and gathering. They took advantage of the benefits of the food provided by the surrounding habitat. The Paleo or “Paleolithic” diet organizes its food program inspired by the way the cavemen did it.

Basically, the foods selected for this diet should be those obtained in the most natural way possible. Processed and, above all, packaged foods are avoided in this kind of diet.

As cavemen, the way to eat was with the paleo diet

Following a few simple recipes, they avoid additives, chemicals, excess salt, and preservatives, which leads to greater chances of causing side effects to our health. This way, we get good results in terms of weight loss, blood pressure control, and the regulation of glucose, triglyceride, and cholesterol levels.

At present, daily intakes focus on the consumption of food that requires little, simple, and fast preparation. The gastronomic market offers an important quantity of products that limit the preparation time in the kitchen.

Grocery shopping for this type of food can be a great benefit for people who have a hectic daily life. They gain variety, comfort, and save time. However, they stop choosing healthy foods.

Eating well is an essential condition that guarantees a long-lasting life. Therefore, it’s advisable to eat fruits, meat from animals that are feed on grass or those that are a product of hunting, fish rich in omega-3, nuts, and fruit oils (olive, walnut).

Moreover, we should avoid the excess consumption of cereals, wheat, barley, refined sugar, dairy products, and processed foods. Up next, we’ll show you a list of 12 delicious snacks within the paleo diet.
