Having a ’round’ face can be a nightmare sometimes. Even if you’ve slimmed down the rest of your body, sometimes losing face weight can be even more difficult. In this article, we’ll share with you how to lose face weight.

Is there a diet to lose face weight?

While it’s true that there are many treatments and diets to burn fat from all over the body, it’s also true that the face area is one of the most difficult areas to tone.

A round and voluminous face may not coincide with the rest of your body, however, it may be caused by recent weight gain.

Even if you have a certain roundness to your face by inheritance, there’s still a chance to change it. First of all, you’ll need to implement a healthy diet. This may cause you to lose weight in general, little by little, you’ll see that your face will also become thinner.

The trick is to eliminate extra calories. In order to do that, it’s a good idea to increase your fiber intake while reducing your fat and carbohydrate intake.

And of course, it’s always a good idea to increase the amount of water you drink per day. In some cases, round faces may be due to swelling or fluid accumulation.

Tips for losing facial weight

In addition to having a balanced diet and consulting a nutritionist, there are different tips and habits that you can implement in order to lose face weight.

Exercise

Aerobics can be a great option, they’ll allow you to lose weight all over your body…including your face! Choose sports disciplines that you enjoy; it can be running, spinning, cycling, swimming or even boxing. It’s important to meet a minimum requirement of 30 minutes a day.

Practice facial exercises

We don’t usually perform facial exercises, maybe that’s why the face area is the last area to lose weight? Face exercises are a lot of fun and they’ll help you reduce stress and improve your mood.

For example, you can exaggerate gesticulations and repeat vowels aloud. Try to hold each vowel for 30 seconds. Another option is to inflate your cheeks and hold the air for 30 seconds. This has to be repeated several times a day. You can do so while watching TV, cooking, reading or driving.

Another fun alternative is to stand in front of the mirror and make different faces; open and close your mouth and eyes, stick out your tongue, laugh out loud. You can perform these activities for five minutes a day.

Apply masks

This is not only relaxing and perfect for when we want to disconnect from everyday problems, but it can also help improve the appearance of your face and even help you lose weight.

You can make all kinds of masks; with oats, yogurt, honey, avocado or cucumber. Enjoy a massage that includes lymphatic drainage, this will allow for the elimination of toxins and fats.

Don’t drink alcohol

This advice is not only for losing face weight, but it’s also valid for overall health. It has been proven that alcohol inflames and makes us retain liquids. Therefore, drink with moderation.

You can have a glass of wine or a beer at dinner or over the weekend. However, if you want to have a thin face, you should not drink excessively.

Massages to lose face weight

In addition to the massages during the application of facial masks, you can take a few minutes when you get home or when you get up to make your skin and muscles ‘move’ a little. Apply light pressure when you wash your face and then apply moisturizer.

Massages can also be performed with essential oils (e.g almond oil), with circular movements that go from the forehead to the jaw.

While these weight loss tips work, you can also ‘hide’ your round face. You can use two base shades to do so. Don’t overload your cheeks with blush if you want to reduce the look of roundness.

Don’t worry too much. Beyond certain aspects that you may not like about yourself, feeling comfortable with yourself is important. Live happily and healthily!
