Coffee with protein cookies, a perfect snack

The combination of these two foods is beneficial for any athlete. This is because both foods contain nutrients that any athletic person should include in their diet if they want to achieve optimal results.

On the one hand, thanks to its caffeine content, coffee increases your performance and accelerates your metabolism, which is also beneficial for fat loss. We have all noticed a feeling of nervousness or uneasiness when we have had a cup of coffee. It is that feeling that makes us more active and that makes us give more when it comes to exercise.

On the other hand, protein cookies are a different way of consuming this nutrient. They are a perfect complement to protein shakes or other protein-rich foods such as lean meats, fish or eggs. Increasing protein intake also favors muscular development.

Therefore, having a coffee with homemade protein cookies is a good choice for anyone who performs sports. Even if you do not do any physical activity, these cookies are much healthier than ones you can buy from the supermarket.

Now that you know the benefits of eating these cookies, we will explain how they are made. Remember, because they are homemade, they contain many nutrients and no added sugar, preservatives or colorings. Also, as you will see below, you can make them in less than half an hour!

As it is dry confectionery, it can be perfectly preserved. You can make a large amount and store them in an airtight container. Keep the container in a cool, dry place, and you can enjoy your cookies for days.

Preparation:

  1. Firstly, to save time, preheat the oven to a temperature of 338 degrees. This way, the oven will be hot when the cookies are ready to bake.
  2. Juice the lemon, and add the ripe bananas after mashing them with a fork.
  3. Once you have mixed the wet ingredients, it is time to mix the dry ones in a separate bowl. Mix the oats, cinnamon, and protein powder together.
  4. Once the wet and dry ingredients are both mixed, combine them in a bowl together and mix them again.
  5. Test the dough, and check its level of sweetness. You probably do not need to add sweetener because the bananas will be sweet, but, you can add sweetener according to your taste.
  6. Form the cookies into balls and place them on the cookie sheet. Remember not to put them too close together.
  7. Once you have placed all the cookies on the sheet, put them in the oven for 20 minutes.
  8. Wait for them to cool before loosening them from the oven tray.

In this simple way, you can make delicious protein cookies for a healthy dessert. As you can see, they are easy to make and you can keep them for days. There is no excuse for not making your own healthy protein cookies!
