Cristiano Ronaldo is a professional soccer player who currently plays for Juventus, in a forward position. He is also the captain of the Portuguese national team.

The Portuguese player is the only one, along with Leo Messi, to achieve five Ballons d’Or (golden balls). It’s a spectacular feat by Cristiano Ronaldo and he almost seems unbeatable.

The evolution of Cristiano Ronaldo

Ronaldo began his sports career at Sporting Lisbon, and he made a huge leap forward when he was signed to Manchester United. He was such a skilled player, that the other team’s defense would always struggle to stop him from getting past them.

Thanks to his talent, he played a crucial role in Manchester United’s Champions League win, where he also won his first ballon d’Or. Real Madrid had been keeping a close watch over him, during his time at Manchester United.

When the new season began, he was playing in white, for Real Madrid. He was the most expensive signing of that time.

In Spain, his position on the pitch changed to left mid-field, where he became even more of a crucial team player and scorer. As we all know, he is currently one of the best strikers in history.

Throughout his career, he has scored 539 goals. This tally is an amazing achievement that will surely keep on increasing.

The following list is a record of some of Cristiano Ronaldo’s best goals.

Goals scored in England

In the 2007-2008 season, Manchester United played against Portsmouth. Cristiano was the official penalty taker for the team. Although the free-kick was in a preferred position for a left-footed player, the Portuguese striker sent it straight into the goal.

The ball barely curved due to Cristiano Ronaldo’s powerful strike. It’s without a doubt, one of the best free-kicks ever scored.

The following year, Manchester United faced Porto in the Champions League. Just five minutes after kick off, the Portuguese striker kicked from far afield and eluded the goalkeeper. This goal would later be awarded with the FIFA Puskas Award.

During his first season with Real Madrid, he faced Olympique de Marseille. Yet again, he demonstrated his skill with free kicks. He managed to score, from over 38 yards away from the goal.

Besides having an excellent kick, Cristiano Ronaldo has all the skills necessary to be the complete player, proving to be a crucial player in every team he’s played for.

In the 2011-2012 season, Real Madrid faced Rayo Vallecano; it was an intense match. The Portuguese star gained possession of the ball and using his pace he kicked it past his opponents’ defense.

A year later, Real Madrid faced Barcelona in the Spanish Super Cup. Cristiano has scored many goals against his top rivals, but we’re mentioning this particular goal because on this occasion, he out-skilled Piqué.

The build up to goal was brilliant as Ronaldo chipped Pique using his heel, leaving Pique with his back turned to the ball. This allowed Ronaldo to go through on goal.
