Healthy ice cream recipes: homemade and natural

1. Cinnamon Cheesecake

The main ingredient for this recipe is low-calorie and sugar-free cookies. You’ll also need two teaspoons of soybean oil, 17 oz of skim milk, 16 oz of fresh skim cheese, a lime, a cinnamon stick and one teaspoon of vanilla extract.

Lastly, to get that firm and ideal texture, you’ll need 6 natural gelatin sheets, with no coloring. Optionally, you can also add a natural sweetener.

The first step to making this healthy ice cream cake is crushing the cookies until they form a flour. Then, add in the oil to get a paste-like consistency.

After that, place the dough in a large container and press down the mixture as firmly as possible to form the base. Once you’re done with this step, put it in the fridge for 40 minutes.

In another container, mix in the milk, cinnamon, a little bit of lime zest and vanilla extract to your liking. Place this mixture over the stove and bring it up to a boil. Use a spoon to take out the cinnamon stick and lower the heat to the minimum level. Then, add the gelatin sheets so they dissolve completely. Let everything rest for 2 minutes.

When this time has passed, add the cheese and stir the mixture until you get a smooth consistency. Take the cookie base out of the fridge and carefully pour this second mix over it. Put everything back in the fridge for at least two hours. You can add a layer of natural jam on top as decoration.

2. Chocolate and banana ice cream

The ingredients for this next healthy ice cream recipe are three bananas and a cup of Greek yogurt or skim milk. You’ll also need 1 oz of sugar-free dark chocolate or three teaspoons of cocoa powder. Optionally, you can use the natural sweetener you prefer.

Start by freezing your bananas and then blending them. Mix them with the rest of the ingredients until everything turns creamy. Use a hand mixer when doing this if you want to achieve the perfect consistency.

After you’re done mixing, pour the ice cream in a container and put it in the freezer once again. After an hour and a half, take the ice cream out and mix it for about 5 minutes. The last step is to place it back in the freezer. It will be ready to eat after 90 minutes.

3. Fruit ice cream

Three bananas are the main ingredient once again, but this time you’ll also need 7 strawberries. The other ingredients are a cup of Greek yogurt and the natural sweetener of your choosing.

First, freeze your fruits in the fridge. Then, blend them together and incorporate the rest of the ingredients until you get a homogeneous mixture. Finally, pour everything into a container and place it in the freezer until it’s firm.
