Just because you are athletic and like to work out doesn’t mean that you can’t enjoy a tasty dessert. If you like candy and you have a blender at home, you can make healthy desserts. For example, you can make healthier ice cream with all the seasonal fruits.

1. Banana Ice Cream

To make this deliciously sweet ice cream, begin by freezing ripe bananas. To do this, peel them, cut them into small pieces and then put them in the freezer, in a plastic bag. Then, it’s time to put the frozen pieces in a blender with some soy milk, or any other plant-based milk.

Next, blend until you have a smooth, uniform thick liquid. Then add peanut butter, cocoa powder to the mix and blend again. You can also add frozen berries and granola.

Then, place the mixture in the freezer until it has the desired ice cream texture. This is a healthier ice cream than normal due to the high content of potassium in bananas, which is essential for muscle development.

2. Strawberry and raspberry ice cream

This one is one of our favorite healthier ice cream options on the list. It’s quite an easy dessert to make. All you need is frozen strawberries and raspberries, coconut water, and a teaspoon of sugar. The secret ingredient is two teaspoons of lime juice.

Now, mix all of the ingredients in a blender and mix until you have a smooth uniform texture. Then place in a plastic container and freeze for 30 minutes. And that’s it, it’s time to serve and enjoy!

3. Pineapple and coconut ice cream

To make this healthy ice cream with pineapple, you need one pineapple, half a pint of water, half a pint of coconut milk, and the juice from half a lime. Peel the pineapple and remove the core, then cut into pieces.

After, put in a blender with the water and coconut milk and blend thoroughly until you have a smooth fluid. To finish, add the lime juice and blend again. And, now it’s ready to eat. Enjoy this tropical flavor on a hot summer day.

4. Coconut ice cream

Coconut ice cream is surely one of the most refreshing and nutritious of all the healthier ice creams we have for you here. All you need for this one is half a cup of coconut milk, one tablespoon of salt, and half a tablespoon of vanilla extract. Some sugar to taste is optional.

Just as with the other options, you’ll need a blender to mix the ingredients, but this time add some ice cubes. Once you’ve blended and you have a smooth liquid, you can drink it as a smoothie. However, we recommend you put it in the freezer until it has a firmer, ice cream like texture.

5. Red berries ice cream

Finally, here’s our last suggestion for healthier ice cream for athletes. This one is a red berry ice cream. You’ll need 14 ounces of white cheese, 8.8 ounces of sliced red berries (strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, blackberries, etc.), 2 to 3 tablespoons of agave syrup and ounce of whey protein.

Add all the ingredients to the blender and mix until you have a smooth liquid. Then place in a container and freeze for a couple of hours. During this time, remove from the freezer every 30 minutes and mix again. This will avoid the formation of ice crystals in the mixture.
